How it works

Every A/B tool stops at “B won”. Riiiver starts there.

A test is not the goal. It is how you learn something about your customers that you can use on the next one.

  1. 01

    Look at who buys

Riiiver reads the orders you already have and shows who your customers are and what they love — per product, over time. No survey, no extra tracking.

  2. 02

    Test a change for them

Describe the change. Riiiver builds it as native Liquid in a copy of your theme and runs it as an A/B test against your live store.

  3. 03

    Learn why, then go again

When the test ends, ask why it won or lost. The answer lands back in your analytics and points at the next experiment.

1 · Analytics

What do your customers love that your visitors don’t see?

Your orders already hold the answer. Riiiver reads them and shows you who buys, by gender and age, for the whole store and for each product, month after month. No survey, no tagging, no extra tracking.

2 · A/B test

Your customers are 50+? Make the text bigger.

Casarto saw that most of their buyers were over 50. One change followed: body text from 16px to 18px. Built in their theme, run as an A/B test, and conversion went up 17.9%.

An insight about your customers is a hypothesis. The A/B test is how you prove it on your own visitors.

Built in your theme, not on top of it

Describe the change. Riiiver writes it as a real Shopify section in a copy of your theme, runs it as a native A/B test, and when the variant wins the code is already live. Liquid, not script injection.

  • AI“Use the meta-fields to create a 4th option.”
  • AI“Add a sticky add-to-cart on mobile.”

3 · Learning

Know why it won. Not just that it did.

Riiiver tracks every element on your pages, not only the ones in the test. When a test ends, press “Why this test won” and ask. The answer often sits outside the test, and it tells you what to try next.

  • Follow shoppers from the first page to checkout, per arm and per device.
  • Spot the element that helped, or the one that confused people later in the funnel.
  • Leave with the next experiment, not just a p-value.

Where do the customer demographics come from?

From the orders you already have. Riiiver estimates gender and age from first names and the income band from the neighbourhood, keeps only those derived values, and only ever shows aggregates — never a named customer. No survey, no extra tracking of your buyers, and customers who opted out of data sharing are left out of exports.

How is this different from another A/B testing tool?

Most tools tell you which variant won and stop. Riiiver tracks every element on your pages, so when a test ends you can ask why it won or lost and get the shoppers' journeys, not just a p-value. The answer often points at something outside the test, and that becomes your next experiment. The test is a step in learning about your customers, not the finish line.

What happens to my store if I cancel?

The code is yours. Full stop. Every change Riiiver builds is written directly into your theme — the moment it's published, it belongs to you, not us. Cancel your subscription and your store is unchanged. No features disappear, no pages break, no code stops working. We don't believe in holding your improvements hostage to a monthly bill.

Does Riiiver inject JavaScript into my store?

Never. Every change Riiiver builds is written as native Liquid — proper Shopify sections with schema definitions, block support, and full theme editor integration. No scripts sitting on top of your pages, no performance drag, no invisible layer to debug. Just clean code that lives in your theme exactly the way a developer would write it.

Why not just use Claude or ChatGPT to generate the code myself?

You can — but what you'll get is HTML, not a Shopify section. No schema, no block support, not editable in the theme customizer. And that's before the real risks: raw AI-generated code has no guardrails around checkout. One bad snippet and your buy button stops working. Riiiver builds within strict constraints — your checkout flow is protected, and every change is validated against your store's performance so you don't trade a better-looking page for a slower one. The difference isn't whether AI writes the code. It's whether the AI knows what it's not allowed to break.

What if a change doesn't look right?

Riiiver builds every change on an exact duplicate of your live theme — your store never touches it until you say so. Review it, tweak it, or scrap it entirely. Nothing goes live without your approval.
